Global Engineering Outreach is a club established to improve the quality of life of developing communities through engineering. The club is involved with local projects, activities, and speakers to provide service in the commmunity. The highlight of club involvement is the biyearly trip to nearby Native American reservations. The trips offer a great opportunity for club members to encouunter a new culture and serve a community close to home.
The GEO Class is a two-semester class where students have the opportunity to research, design, test, produce, and implement a solution for a real world problem in a developing country. Students must be junior or senior level in an engineering major in order to apply for the class. Applications are released in February or March of the year prior and are announced through both the club email list and college advertising.
