Bolivia (2025-): Quinoa Planter

DESCRIPTION

We have been working with PROINPA for the past three years on several projects, including the quinoa washer, quinoa mill, quinoa toaster, a chuño processor, and a quinoa popper. PROINPA has a current seed planter that they use, but they are unsatisfied with its performance and would like an improved version. This team is developing a low-cost seed planter that can be used by individuals

IMPLEMENTATION

This is a new project that started in 2025. Initial prototype testing occurred in January 2026 in Bolivia. An updated prototype is being tested in Bolivia in May 2026. Feedback will be obtained during the trip to identify potential areas for improvement and to assess the next step for implementation.
